Jyoti Kalash Yatra

The present time is a time of change — a time of transformation of an era. Such a transformation, which is happening not only in the outside world, but also within our innermost being. On one hand, in the name of science and technology, journeys are being undertaken from Earth to space, while on the other hand, there is erosion of human values, disintegration of families, unrest in minds, darkness in thoughts, and confusion about the purpose of life is also spreading.

In such a time, when darkness is all around — just one lamp is not enough. To defeat the darkness, it is necessary for many lamps to burn together. These lamps are symbols — of awakened souls, cultured personalities, and seekers progressing on the path of service, spiritual practice, self-study, and Yajna.

Our era’s sage, Revered Gurudev Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji’s penance, his spiritual practice, his philosophy of life, his literature, his voice — all these are like a divine light, which are guiding light pillars for the coming time. What he said, wrote, lived, and proclaimed was not only the need of that time, but has become an essential need of today, and the time to come.

The divine dreams proclaimed by him — “Transformation of the Era”, “Era Construction”, “Renaissance of Culture”, “Women’s Awakening”, “Youth Construction”, “Family Construction”, etc. — all these are not just thoughts, but dimensions of a planned revolution.

Purpose of the Jyoti Kalash Yatra

1. With the feeling of intensifying the continuous light of the Eternal Flame –

The eternal flame of Revered Gurudev’s ignited thoughts — which has been ignited by his penance, spiritual practice, and inner strength — this Jyoti Kalash Yatra has been started to make it more intense, influential, and inspiring.

This journey is not just a symbol — it is the resolve of sensitive seekers who want to make their lives a moving eternal flame. It is a call that we all together make this flame more expansive and bright — so that this power to dispel darkness can reach every person.

2. With the feeling of taking the light of the Eternal Flame to every person, every home, centers and institutions – witnesses of the penance, sacrifice, and forbearance of the Rishi couple –

Revered Gurudev and Revered Mataji — this light born from the penance, sacrifice, and forbearance of this Rishi couple — Eternal Flame — is not an ordinary light, it is the divine radiance of era construction.

Carrying this radiance, this journey has embarked so that this divine light reaches every home, every mind, every center, every institution — everywhere. This is an effort to awaken that ascetic spirit in every heart, to build ideals in every family, and to make every institution an active unit of this era-building Yajna.

3. With the feeling of reaching those homes, those minds where Revered Gurudev’s thoughts are yet to reach –

Even today, there are many homes, many minds that are untouched by Revered Gurudev’s thoughts, his literature, his resolves, and the call of the era’s duty. This Jyoti Kalash Yatra is a medium through which the light of culture, spiritual practice, and service reaches them.

This journey is a powerful initiative to awaken humanity, to sensitize hearts, and to turn life towards a path of austerity. It is a humble call to those hearts that are still surrounded by the veils of laziness, disbelief, or ignorance.

4. Preparation for the centenary year of 2026, marking 100 years of the divine advent of the Eternal Flame and Revered Mataji in 1926 –

The year 1926 — is not just a year, it is a year of divine advent. In this year, two divine beings descended on this Earth — the manifestation of the Eternal Flame by the Era Sage Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji and the advent of Revered Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma Ji — both are the beginning of a grand plan.

In the year 2026, the centenary year of the arrival of these divine beings is being completed. This is not just a date, it is a call, an opportunity, to convey the message of their objectives to every person, to activate their era-building plan, and to celebrate the centenary year as an ideological festival.

Jyoti Kalash Yatra is the spiritual preparation for this centenary year — so that every seeker can make this occasion an opportunity to rebuild life.

Prior Preparation

In this awakened moment of era transformation, when preparations are underway to realize a sacred resolution like the Jyoti Kalash Yatra, mere external arrangements are not enough — there is a need to adorn, decorate, and prepare from within as well.

This journey is a divine inspiration, and such inspirations are successful only when the seeker’s mind, body, and environment are fully prepared. Therefore, the prior preparations made to welcome this divine journey should be equally sacred and powerful.

1. Personal and collective rituals, sequence of spiritual practice — the foundation of spiritual upliftment

Let every seeker’s heart become a temple for this journey, and every day be an offering in the Yajna of that self-illumination. For this, it is necessary that every individual —

  • Engages in their personal chanting-rituals,
  • Morning worship,
  • Collective evening prayers,
  • And enters into regular self-study.

This spiritual practice is not just an action, it is an emotional preparation so that our soul can experience the dynamism of this divine event.

2. Yajna, Deepa Yajna and Sacraments — Collective endeavor for the awakening of auspicious sacraments

Where there is Yajna, there is the descent of divine consciousness.

  • The smoke of the Yajna purifies the atmosphere.
  • Its भावना (sentiment/feeling) brings a shower of sacraments in life.

Therefore, as far as possible, Deepa Yajna, Gayatri Yajna, sacraments (Mundan, Yajnopaveet, Diksha, etc.) should be organized in homes, neighborhoods, centers, villages, and cities — so that the atmosphere becomes collectively pure and people’s inner minds are prepared to welcome the Jyoti Kalash.

3. Public Relations and Public Awareness — Lighting the lamp of faith and understanding

Many people are still unaware of the divine advent of Revered Gurudev and Revered Mataji, the greatness of their mission, and the significance of the centenary year of 2026.

  • It is our duty to connect them with faith and reality.
  • For this, there should be public relations, going door-to-door to deliver copies of Akhand Jyoti,
  • Introduce the Rishi couple’s plan,
  • And explain this journey as a divine ritual.

This work is not just publicity, it is the transmission of consciousness.

4. Decoration of Home and Center — Internal-heartfelt preparation for welcoming the Rishi couple

Just as a guest is about to arrive, the house is decorated, similarly the consciousness of the Rishi couple is arriving.

  • Therefore, create such an atmosphere in homes and centers by lighting Gayatri Mantra, era messages, ideal pictures, lamps, and torches —
  • So that every person who comes there experiences — “This place is not ordinary, it is the penance ground of Rishi consciousness.”

Every home, every center should become a temple where divinity is experienced.

Subtleization Sadhana and Five Veerabhadras — Divine guardians of the era’s resolve

Revered Gurudev, through Subtleization Sadhana, crafted five divine resolves — which he called the Five Veerabhadras / Ramdoots. Through these, he entrusted the responsibility of five great tasks to the Rishi consciousness:

1. Purification of the atmosphere —
Purifying the impurities of the natural environment with the divine waves of Rishi consciousness.

2. Refinement of the environment —
Removing negativity from the mental and emotional environment of humans, establishing the quality of Sattva.

3. Construction of the New Era —
Basing the structure of culture, thoughts, conduct, and society on the ideals of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

4. Neutralization of the possibility of great destruction —
Stopping the storms of despair, unrest, and chaos, so that there is development, not destruction.

5. Connecting with divine humans —
Ultimately, this is the task that is possible for seekers.

Connecting with divine humans — Our duty of the era

Of these five tasks, the first four are being handled by the Rishi consciousness itself.
But the fifth task — connecting with divine humans — is the duty of all of us seekers.

  • We should search for those souls who are selfless, idealistic, service-oriented, and truth-loving,
  • Connect them with the era’s consciousness,
  • Make them offerers in the great Yajna of era construction.

Every seeker should become a messenger of the era and a lamp that awakens divinity.

What to do — Awaken and Connect

Awaken and Connect — From self-awakening to world awakening

Jyoti Kalash Yatra is not an ordinary journey, it is a spiritual campaign, a novel effort to awaken the sages. The true meaning of this journey will be realized only when we can connect every human being we encounter on the path, when we can awaken every center.

The need to awaken — A call to invoke the soul

  1. Awaken sleeping centers
Infuse consciousness again in those centers where there were once activities but are now inactive. Take a resolve to rekindle them with the light of Guru’s presence.
  2. Awaken dormant activities
If any plans and campaigns that were started have stalled, implement them again. Re-energize literature distribution, wall writing, Deepa Yajna, and creativity.
  3. Awaken sleeping individuals
Give loving inspiration to those in whose hearts the spirit of creation and service once awakened — “Awake! The era is calling.” Reactivating them is our service to the Guru.

Activate — Energize era-building plans

Reactivating the various branches and campaigns of the Gayatri Pariwar, giving them new consciousness is a part of this era’s duty.

  • Gyan Ghat
  • Pragya Mandal
  • Mahila Mandal
  • Yuva Mandal
  • Svadhyaya Mandal
  • Mobile Library / Bag Library
  • Wall Writing
  • Sapta Krantis
  • Creative Movement
  • Time Donation, Monetary Donation
  • Devasthapana Campaign
  • House-to-house Yajna and Sacraments

Ensure public participation in all these campaigns and involve family members.

Strategy to connect close members of the Gayatri Pariwar

Awakening four types of members — Towards new creation

  1. Dedicated and vital members
Bring those whose every breath resonates with Revered Gurudev to the forefront. They should not only remain active themselves, but also awaken others.
  2. Active in programs, but inactive otherwise
Give them a clear message —
“Every moment is a program, Revered Gurudev has said — we should not wait, live every day as a new era’s work.”
  3. Previously awakened, currently inactive members
Invite those who once contributed but stepped back for some reason, with affection. Forgetting past experiences, engage in the era’s work anew.
  4. Previously acquainted, but currently astray members
Identify, contact, and reconnect those who once connected through Yajna, sacraments, literature, or Shantikunj visits.

How to connect with ‘divine humans’?

Gurudev has said —
“Deities reside not in temples, but in hearts.”

Find such gentlemen in your circle of acquaintance:

  • Who have true भावना (sentiment/feeling) within them
  • In whom the inspiration for creation and service can be awakened
  • Whose lives are not lacking in ideals, but are just waiting for a divine direction

Special action plan for the New Year

New Year = New Energy + New Sentiment + New Resolve
This is not just a change of date, but an opportunity for life transformation.
On this day, we renew ourselves and seek out those individuals in society who want to do something for the country, religion, and society, but cannot find direction.

Process of connecting them

“Our responsibility is only to connect, Guru’s presence will do the rest.”

With this sentiment, when we connect someone with the mission, it is not just joining an organization, but connecting with an era-transforming consciousness. Its process is step-by-step as follows:

Five steps of the New Year felicitation ceremony

This ceremony is a combination of intimacy and organization, where members not only attend, but connect emotionally:
Introduction — Beginning the bridge of intimacy

Welcome all guests, members, and newcomers wholeheartedly.
Give everyone the opportunity to share themselves and their feelings.

“Belonging begins with recognition.”

Love — Meals together, feelings together

Food is not just for the body, it also becomes a medium for contact and communication.
Organizing communal meals reduces distance and increases intimacy.

“Eat together, laugh together – this is the foundation of organization.”

Progress — Shared reports of Mandals and Centers

Sharing who did what work and how it was done provides inspiration and clarifies direction.
A short presentation or report can also be given.

“Sharing experiences strengthens the organization.”

Proposal — Presentation of upcoming plans

Now mention upcoming programs, campaigns, and resolutions.
Take suggestions from everyone so that everyone feels a sense of ownership.

“When the plan belongs to everyone, the work also becomes everyone’s.”

Effort — Conceptualization of new tasks

Conclude the ceremony with a resolve.
Make a list of new tasks and reflect on “What can I do?”

“Effort without resolve is incomplete. Resolve without effort is meaningless.”

Find five types of members on New Year’s

On this special occasion, seek out those noble individuals who are influential in society and can connect with the ideals of the mission:

1. Scholars

Teachers, writers, speakers – whose thoughts inspire society.

2. Wealthy

Those who are generous and can help with resources in social work.

3. Powerful

Individuals with administrative, political, or institutional responsibilities.

4. Talented

Those with special talents in art, science, sports, technology, music, etc.

5. Compassionate

Sensitive, service-minded individuals – who will take ownership of the work.

Light only one lamp within them – the lamp of Gurudev’s thought.

Campaign Process: Step-by-step connection plan

Finding

First, look in your contact list (phone book, social media, neighborhood, office) to see which noble people have feelings but lack direction.

“They are not connected, they are discovered!”

Meeting

Meet them personally or with a familial sentiment. Let there be intimacy, not formality.
Create a reason to meet — a meal, a gift, a discussion, Satsang, etc.

“Connect hearts first, then further the conversation.”

Explaining the mission

Now gradually introduce them to Gurudev’s thoughts, the inspirations of the Gayatri Pariwar, and the creative movements.

Use literature, Yugvani, videos, audio clips, etc.

Awakening the sentiment

Make them feel that they can be useful to society, that they are essential to the mission.
Use a story, experience, music, or memoir to awaken the sentiment.

“When feelings awaken, resolve will arise automatically.”

A two-step journey

Step 1: Visit to the nearest center

Connect them with local activities — Mandal, Yajna, Satsang, Yoga class, Bal Sanskar, etc.

Step 2: Stay at the pilgrimage site Shantikunj

If they are connected with sentiment, take them to Shantikunj. The atmosphere there, the vibrations of Guru’s presence, the service of the members will keep them connected for life.

“Where faith is born, dedication flourishes.”

Signs of returning inspired from Shantikunj:

  1. Diksha Set
  2. Akhand Jyoti Membership
  3. Fortnightly Literature
  4. Era Literature
  5. Golden Jubilee Dock Ticket

Devasthapana — Establishing era consciousness in every home

From the doorbell of the house to the bell of the prayer room —
Let the lamp of Gayatri consciousness be lit in every home.
Faith in every mind, sacraments in every courtyard — this is the era construction envisioned by Revered Gurudev.

Gurudev has sown the seeds of the Brahma Kamal —
Our duty is to find them,
And nurture them with sentiment, service, labor, literature, Yajna, and sacraments.

This is the true purpose of the ‘Jyoti Kalash Yatra’ —
Lighting one lamp from another, until the entire world is illuminated.
